Copa Fácil Alternative for Football Tournaments

A Brazilian app for leagues and cups, set against JudgeMate on matchday

Last updated: October 27, 2026

Copa Fácil is a Brazilian app and website for football leagues and cups. It generates fixtures for a league, a group stage or a knockout, keeps the table with tie-breaks you configure, tracks scorers, cards and suspensions, and makes result graphics for Instagram and WhatsApp. The free plan creates tournaments and takes results; paid plans add players, remove ads and open a JSON API. JudgeMate is free for organisers and covers the match itself: a running clock and cards on the venue screen, two-legged ties decided on aggregate, and a referee QR for every match you start a scoreboard for. It has no native app and takes no payments.

What Copa Fácil is

Copa Fácil comes from Brazil: the footer of their site names JOSE AUGUSTO N COSTA LTDA with a Brazilian CNPJ company number. The site is published in Portuguese, Spanish, English, French and Italian, and the product runs as an Android and iOS app and in the browser. Football is the first sport on their home page; basketball, volleyball and esports are the other featured ones, and the page says many other sports are supported.

The organiser's job is short by design. You add teams, pick a format and the fixtures appear. Their page names the formats in its own words: "round-robin, group stage or knockout". After each result the table updates "with tie-break rules you can configure". Player statistics cover top scorers, cards, suspensions and custom rankings, and match, player and team documents can be viewed, downloaded or printed.

Much of the product is built for the people around the tournament. There is a feed for photos, videos and news, result and standings graphics "for Instagram and WhatsApp in just a few clicks", a public organiser profile, sponsor banners and a search where players and fans find tournaments and follow them. Organisers can invite moderators to share the admin work, and support answers on WhatsApp and by email.

The scale they quote is large: "More than 5 million downloads", with ratings of 4.9 on Google Play and 4.8 on the App Store shown on their own page. Those are their figures and we have not checked them against the stores.

Pricing side by side

Copa Fácil sells one subscription per organiser. Their plans page says "One subscription covers every tournament" and "Cancel anytime". The amounts below come from their Brazilian page in reais, read on 25 October 2026. The English and Spanish pages show smaller numbers after a bare "$" and never name the currency, so we do not quote them.

PlanWhat their page listsMonthly price on the Brazilian page
FreeCreate tournaments, add teams and enter results at no costR$ 0
CustomUp to 300 players and 3 sponsors per tournament, with 600 and 900 player tiers in the selector; no ads on the website or app; social media graphics; custom tournament link; videos, attachments and match sheets; print-ready reportsR$ 25 at 300 players
ProfessionalUnlimited players and sponsors; JSON API access; embedding tournaments on other websites; spreadsheet importsR$ 55
JudgeMateEvents, live results, match tournaments and the scoreboard, with no plansFree for organisers

Their billing selector also offers quarterly, half-yearly and annual billing, with the annual option marked 30% off. The free plan has no published player or team limit.

The paid tiers are sized in players per tournament, so a squad list counts directly against the price. Sixteen clubs registering twenty players each come to 320 names, already past the 300-player tier. JudgeMate does not price by players. A club can enter under its name alone, and a squad holds up to 23 names when you add one.

Feature comparison

Both tools generate fixtures, keep the table current and publish results. Copa Fácil puts its effort into the audience around a competition, JudgeMate into running the match.

When Copa Fácil fits

Pick Copa Fácil when the tournament lives on phones and the audience is half the point.

  • Your players and fans already use apps. Android and iOS, a search for tournaments and organisers, and matches and tables followed in real time. JudgeMate is a browser tab.
  • Promotion runs through Instagram and WhatsApp. Result and standings graphics in a few clicks are something we do not offer for match tournaments.
  • The season needs content. Photos, videos and news go into a tournament feed, so the competition page also works as its noticeboard.
  • Sponsors expect banners. Sponsor slots across your tournaments are part of every paid tier.
  • Your data has to go somewhere else. The Professional plan opens a JSON API, embedding on other sites and spreadsheet imports.
  • Your league speaks Portuguese, French or Italian. Their interface does; ours does not.
  • You run many tournaments a year. One subscription covers all of them, and a public organiser profile lists them in one place.

If you organise a neighbourhood league that people follow on their phones all season, Copa Fácil is a sensible, well-tested choice.

When JudgeMate fits

Pick JudgeMate when the hard part is matchday: a screen at the ground, a cup played home and away, a referee at every pitch.

  • The match goes on a screen. Start a scoreboard from the bracket match and it already knows both teams. The football clock counts up through 2 × 45 minutes, with extra time of 2 × 15 and a shootout tracker. Added time moves in one-minute steps or with +1, +3 and +5 presets. A second yellow turns into a red on its own. A separate display view sends it to an LED wall or a projector, and the final score goes back to the bracket.
  • The cup has two legs. The tie is decided on aggregate, a level aggregate goes to a shootout, and away goals count for nothing, as in UEFA club competitions since 2021/22. The shootout follows Law 10: five kicks each, then one at a time until one side leads.
  • Every match with a scoreboard gets its own QR. Start the scoreboard for a match and its QR appears; the referee scans it at the pitch and opens a score panel for that match only, with no account. Print the sheet and pin it next to the team list.
  • Clubs enter without player accounts. A club needs only its name; squads are optional and hold up to 23 names. Nobody pays more because a squad got longer.
  • The best runner-up or third-placed teams can go through. With three groups, the winners and the best runner-up make a bracket of four, or the top two from each and the two best third-placed teams make eight. One group sends 2, 4 or 8 through; two or four groups send 1 or 2 from each.
  • Forfeits and suspensions follow football. A walkover goes in as 3-0 by default, the score FIFA's disciplinary code uses, and suspensions after cards can be switched on.
  • The table can stay hidden. Hide results until the prize-giving and release them yourself.

Try the football scoreboard with no account, read the football scoreboard guide, or start a football tournament.

Where JudgeMate falls short

Set against Copa Fácil, this is where we lose.

  • No native app. No App Store or Google Play listing, no install base of millions. Fans open a link in the browser.
  • No automatic notifications. No push, email or SMS when a result goes in or a match moves.
  • No money changes hands here. You can record each entry fee as paid, waived or unpaid, but nothing is collected.
  • No social media tools. No graphics for Instagram, no photo or news feed. A sponsor gets one logo with a link and a line of names on the results page and the venue screen, not banners across your tournaments.
  • The scoreboard keeps a narrow football record. Goals, cards, added time and penalties are there. Substitutions and temporary dismissals are not recorded.
  • One scoreboard per match, started by hand. There is no button that opens boards for a whole round at once.
  • No children's festival format for teams. Rotating teams between pitches, as DFB grassroots football does, cannot be modelled for clubs.
  • No link to association systems. Registrations and results do not flow to or from a federation's platform.
  • Four interface languages. No Portuguese, French or Italian.
  • Squads stop at 23 names. Enough for a matchday squad, short for a whole club register.

Running both without doubling the work

Copa Fácil covers the season's audience; JudgeMate covers matchday.

  1. Leave the season where your followers are. If players and families already follow your league in the Copa Fácil app, the regular rounds can stay there.
  2. Bring the scoreboard in for the big match. The football scoreboard works on its own, without an event. Run the final or a derby on the stadium screen here and type the result into Copa Fácil afterwards.
  3. Run the cup separately if it has two legs. A home-and-away knockout with a shootout on aggregate is set up here as a separate event with its own referee QRs.
  4. Keep each competition in one place. Do not split the same table across both tools. Pick per competition and stay there.
  5. Expect to type things twice. Nothing syncs: no import, no shared team list, no export from one into the other.

For a one-off cup bracket, the bracket generator prints a knockout or round robin for up to 64 teams with no account.
