What a field hockey scoreboard does

Card suspensions on a timer
A green card starts a 2-minute suspension and a yellow card at least 5 minutes, each counted down on the board. A red card removes the player for good and the team plays short for the rest of the game.
Quarters on a count-up clock
The clock runs up from zero through four quarters of 15 minutes, and you stop it when play stops. Level at the end? The board adds 7.5-minute extra periods, then a shoot-out.
Advantage marked on the board
While a suspension runs, a badge marks the team with the extra player on the pitch. Several suspensions can run at once, each on its own countdown.

How long is a field hockey match?
Four quarters of 15 minutes, with the clock stopping for penalty corners and injuries. Real time at the pitch usually runs 70 to 90 minutes. Every goal counts one, and the board adds it as you tap.
How do green, yellow and red cards work?
A green card suspends a player for 2 minutes and a yellow for at least 5, and the board counts each one down. A red card removes the player for the rest of the match, so the team stays a player short. The opposing team carries an advantage badge while a suspension runs.
Can I put the scoreboard on a TV?
Yes. Open the board or its public link in any browser on a TV, laptop or tablet. The layout scales to the screen, and the score updates live as you tap.
Is it free, and do I need an account?
The field hockey scoreboard is free and you can create one without signing up. There is no paywall and no ads on the public view. An account only matters if you want to save a match for later.
Does it produce a tournament table?
