What this scoreboard does

Flag football scores in three sizes, so a plus-one counter gets the board wrong after the first drive. This one has the four entries from the 5v5 rulebook: touchdown for 6, PAT for 1 from the 5-yard line or 2 from the 10, and safety for 2, one tap each for either team.

Between the scores it counts the downs. Tap Next down after every play, 1st down when a series starts and Turnover when the ball changes hands. A fourth down without a new series hands the ball over by itself, a touchdown gives it to the other team and a safety to the team that scored it. Two 20-minute halves count down; overtime counts up with no limit.

One person runs the board from a phone on the sideline. Everyone else follows a link or scans a QR code and sees the score, the clock and the down on a phone or a big screen. No accounts for spectators, no app to install, nothing to pay.

Built for the 5v5 rulebook

Touchdown, PAT 1, PAT 2, safety

Four buttons with the points built in. Tap the touchdown for the scorer's number, or hold it for a quick entry; PATs and safeties are one tap.

A down counter that follows the ball

Next down, 1st down and Turnover keep the series on the board. Turnover on downs, touchdowns and safeties switch possession for you.

Two halves, editable length

20-minute halves by default; set 15 or 25 in the format sheet for junior or extended formats. Overtime runs without a clock.

Timeouts and penalties

Two timeouts per team per half, none in overtime. A penalty is one tap that writes a note on the timeline; the yards are measured on the field.

Questions about the flag football scoreboard

Is the flag football scoreboard free?

Yes, and there is no paid tier behind it. Opening a board, running games and sharing the live view cost nothing, however many games you score.

How do I score a PAT?

After the touchdown tap PAT 1 for the try from the 5-yard line or PAT 2 for the try from the 10. A missed try needs no entry. A defensive touchdown on the try is entered as PAT 2 for the defense, a safety on the try as PAT 1.

What does the down counter do after a touchdown?

It starts a new series for the other team on 1st down. The PAT does not change it. After a safety the ball goes to the team that scored the safety, and a fourth down without a new series is a turnover on downs.

Can I change the half length?

Yes. Open the format sheet and set 15, 20 or 25 minutes per half, or any other length. The down counter and the scoring stay the same.

Does it count penalty yards or run the league?

No. A penalty is a note on the timeline, and the referee measures the yards on the field. League tables, brackets and schedules live in a JudgeMate event, not on the board.
